Market Representative for Romania

To further increase the visibility of Austria’s tourism offerings in international competition, we are expanding our activities in Romania. As Market Representative, you represent Austria Tourism in the market, strengthen our position among multipliers and media, and implement targeted marketing and B2B measures.
Your place of work is Bucharest, and employment is subject to Romanian labor law.

• You support our Head of Market (Budapest) for Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, and Romania, and together with them represent Austria Tourism in Romania.

• You monitor market trends and developments, derive strategic direction from them, and implement marketing, advertising, and social media activities together with multipliers.

• You share your market and destination expertise with the Austrian tourism industry as well as with multipliers in Romania, and build strong relationships with media, travel intermediaries, stakeholders, and multipliers.

• You coordinate events, workshops, and marketing activities, ensure aligned communication across all channels, and take responsibility for quality, timing, and reporting.

• You are responsible for key operational activities in the Romanian market – from B2B workshops and channel management to offer development and trade activities – and actively help shape future market development.

• You work with modern marketing, content, and analytics tools, take responsibility for budget planning and control, and report regularly to the Head of Market.

• You bring solid marketing expertise – ideally in B2B, media relations, and digital channels – and combine it with creativity and a strong feel for markets.

• You have strong analytical and conceptual skills, implement projects with a clear goal in mind, and are able to inspire multipliers and stakeholders with your ideas.

• You enjoy presenting, are confident in negotiations, work in a structured way, and feel comfortable traveling. Networking comes naturally to you and is particularly easy thanks to your social and intercultural skills.

• You have a strong growth mindset: you like trying out new things, continuously develop yourself, and actively help shape processes.

• You have an excellent command of German and Romanian and are familiar with the diversity of Austria. Additional English skills are a welcome plus.

• You enjoy working independently, have strong operational skills, and take pleasure in building and further developing a market with high potential.

• You are interested in modern tools, digital ways of working, and the use of AI to make processes more efficient and creative.

The average salary for this position starts at an annual gross salary of approximately RON 112,000 based on full-time employment under Romanian law. Depending on your specific qualifications and experience, there is the possibility of overpayment.
